Sorry,Sorry, I'm Sooooo Sorry
65Forgive Me
Most of the people’s minds are restless and tensed nowadays. It’s like some Volcano. The result; it leads one to disappointments and it make problems in relationships. especially in families and friendships. Everybody fighting with arguments .and nobody wants to come out from their own egos. Many people use alcohol and drugs to runaway from their problems. But real and everlasting solution for it is Forgiveness. It gives the real peace of mind. And it is incredible.
I don’t like much about Christianity but I like a main advice of Jesus Christ. that is “Forgiveness”. Even he was loosing his life at cross, he asked God to forgive sins of the persons they crucified him. But I know one fact that, even most of his followers cannot follow this approach in their own lives at all. Even people giving shake hands and Hugs, many of them doing it just physically. They can’t forgive others it might be his/her lover, friend, family member.
I remember about an incident which I read in a book. The story is about Indian freedom fighter Gandhi and V. pandit, She was the former representative ofIndiain UN. She was a widow. Her husband’s brothers and family didn’t give justice for her and her kids. They didn’t give any part from husband’s wealth. So she was very angry and upset to the family members of husband. It is common response of any person in such a pathetic situation.
When she got an opportunity to go toUnited States, for a conference she met Gandhi before she goes there. Gandhi knows her very well personally. He asked her “Did you solve the problems with your husband’s family? Or still you are angry to them?” She told “Yes still it continuing. how I can forgive to them. It’s not possible.
Gandhi told her “Listen you are the only one person hurting you now. If you don’t forgive them, Hatred and angriness will be filled in your mind. You are going to a new country. And you are thinking that you can escape from unhappiness. Do you think you can be happy when you keep your mind hate and angry? Admit that fact that you lost your husband. Do you need to give more smashes to your mind? Forgive and Forget.”
After the conversation with Gandhi She talked to her husband’s brothers and she feel a big burden has been removed from her mind. You can find the real peace and happiness when you forgive to others. And it will be a cool and divine feeling too.

Interesting hub, thanks.
Maybe because I am half Sicilian, I can forgive but never forget. I am not like Jesus who will turn the other cheek. I am only a man, not a god or the son of a god. If someone stabs me in the back, I can recover, but the incident cannot be forgotten. This is part of self-preservation, don't you think? Friendships are built around trust and a continuity of good will. If the sense of trust is broken, I can let go of my anger, but then it comes time to "unfriend" the individual.
'Cool and divine'....very unique way to put it. I enjoyed your hub. Forgiving someone who is not even sorry is very difficult -- as you've shown in the example you've given. But it sure does feel good to be rid of the burden. I don't know much yet about Ghandi except that he was apparently a very good leader and a good man.
